String Quartet in d-minor
("Macbeth") This four movement
piece for string quartet is a series of impressions from the famous
play by Shkespeare. Each of the four movements is an
impression based upon the dark tale of a lust for power and the
treachery it unleashes.
Vignettes
from An American Life This five
movement work is a series of impressions from the composer's life
written for string ensemble. Each vignette is a different
episode, but all are bound together by a shared melody which appears in
each movement.
